Upcoming:
The May 27 Views & Tales
Watch an interview from 2024 with Maude Barlow about the global water crisis. She discusses the need to “think blue” and look at the climate crisis from a water perspective.
"The planet is facing a twin water crisis--human & ecological. Canada is not exempt from this crisis despite our “myth of abundance” that has kept us from facing our own situation. Maude will talk about the need to “think blue” & look at the climate crisis from a water perspective. She will share some hard facts but will also share what she calls “wise hope”--the knowledge that armed with the facts, we can & must take meaningful action."
Canadian activist Maude Barlow co-founded the Council of Canadians in 1985. She has worked for decades to keep water public. She is also the co-founder of the Blue Planet Project, which works internationally for the human right to water.
The interview plus group discussion lasts 1 hr 20 mins.
