Remembering those who have been lost.
Join with your community at a candlelit event to commemorate those who have died in the heat dome, floods, and other climate-related disasters this year -- and call on elected representatives to confront the climate emergency and help prevent future deaths. #candles4climate
MLAs' offices across the province will see people come out to commemorate those who lost their lives this year in climate events. And call on leaders to act on climate and protect our future.
WHERE: In front of MLA offices across the Province including Penticton.
300 Riverside Dr (Quality Greens parking Lot)
WHY: Come together with your community to commemorate lives lost, hold government accountable, and demand emergency climate action.
WHEN: Monday, December 13 at 6 PM
Please share this with others who might be worried about climate change. A few things to make sharing easier: Facebook event page.
Bring a candle or LED light (handy if it is raining or snowing); dress for the weather and consider reflective clothing to be better seen; masks recommended.
