The climate emergency is not up for debate. 🔥 In the TRT World roundtable debate, Amiera Sawas, Head of Research of the #FossilFuelTreaty Initiative, shuts down a climate emergency denialist using science and lived experience to illustrate the worldwide catastrophes we are witnessing today.

With global temperatures reaching an unprecedented high, and massive impacts ravaging the most vulnerable communities, we must address the primary cause head on: fossil fuels. Oil, gas, and coal are fueling the climate emergency, responsible for 86% of carbon emissions in the past decade.

The fossil fuel industry has known for decades that production could lead to warming temperatures but has been investing billions of dollars in lobbies to shift responsibility and block climate action.

That’s why we need a #FossilFuelTreaty now—to end fossil expansion, manage a fair phase-out, and fast-track a global just transition. Join FossilFuelTreaty.org
